DEBBIE BLANKMAN DESIGN

I've loved layout and spatial relationships as long as I can remember. Drawing floor plans on graph paper at a very young age, I was acutely aware of the function of the spaces we inhabit, and the imagery and visual cues that surround us. Collages, cards, and mixed media art were also fun and I ultimately studied graphic design at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. I then went on to work as a designer and art director for studios, universities, and in-house corporate design departments before freelancing for a variety of organizations. I continue to be interested in home design and layout and have designed and managed construction of several kitchen remodels. More recently I've experimented with pastels and acrylics on the abstract art you see here.
